what does it mean to be a 777 state runner?
State Runners participate in one of the seven legs of The 777 Marathon, usually the leg within their home state. There are two options for participation as a State Runner – either to participate as an INDIVIDUAL or as part of a TEAM.
Individual State Runners are required to fundraise a minimum of $130 to help protect Australian children against sexual assault, as well as contribute an additional $20 registration fee.
State Teams can comprise of 2 – 4 runners per team. Each team is required to fundraise a minimum of $360 to help protect Aussie kids, as well as contribute an additional registration fee of $40 per team.

*Please note that this state run is a part of the Gold Coast Marathon where additional entry fees apply. Unfortunately, Bravehearts is unable to cover the cost of these. If you wish to enter the Gold Coast Marathon as a participant of the Bravehearts 777 State Marathon, you will be required to complete the Gold Coast Marathon registration separately to the 777 Marathon and in addition to the registration fee and fundraising goal for Bravehearts. In order to secure a discounted entry fee, we kindly recommend that you consider Early Bird Registration for the Gold Coast Marathon.
Note: Courses are approximately 7 km loops. You can choose to run a full marathon or a shorter distance run or make it really easy and walk.
