As part of celebrating Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week in Australia this week, Bravehearts wished to highlight important partnerships that are vital to our work in child protection.
One such partnership is that with Superannuation Advice Australia, a leading Australian Financial Services company. Superannuation Advice Australia has been the major sponsor of Bravehearts White Balloon Day for the last two years, and continue to support Bravehearts through Workplace Giving.
The contribution of Superannuation Advice Australia’s staff members to Bravehearts White Balloon Day, in particular, has been immense, from helping out on the phones to raise funds on our giving day, to holding bake sales in their head office.
Superannuation Advice Australia CEO, Greg Rostron, said of their corporate partnership with Bravehearts:
“Our vision is to empower our clients by the work that we do and help the community through the causes we support. We are honoured to be a part of White Balloon Day, as an anchor initiative to our internal Workplace Giving Program. We firmly believe in uniting against child abuse and building better futures, together.”
Superannuation Advice Australia staff members were also asked about what it means to them to give alongside a company that supports community initiatives, and partners with worthy charities such as Bravehearts. Here’s what they had to say:
“Working for an organisation that makes philanthropy such an integral part of their DNA is really important to me and means that my own personal goals are aligned with my employer.” ~ Mathew
“It’s satisfying to work for a company that is contributing to the well-being of the community especially throughout this difficult time.” ~ Cindy
“I feel proud to work with a company that proactively supports the community and that provides a supportive and encouraging program for us to do the same.” Joshua
“I truly believe that workplace giving flows through our Vision, Mission and Values and brings our unique office culture to life. Working for a company that does not only focus on profits, but what we can collectively do to help our communities, makes me feel significant, proud and fulfilled.” ~ Michelle
“In the words of Clint Eastwood, ‘What you put into life, is what you get out of it.’ I am grateful to work in an environment where so many opportunities are made available to volunteer and donate to, across so many different charities and worthy community initiatives. SAA supports a wide cross-section of seasonal campaigns, once-off projects, as well as long-term partnerships – with organisations such as Bravehearts. I can feel the positive impact that we are making, and it makes my heart feel full and happy.” ~ Katie
