Report Historical Child Sexual Abuse
It is never too late to report sexual crimes. Generally speaking, there is no time limit for reporting sexual crimes. Some people choose to report immediately, whereas others may report days, weeks, months or years later. Some people may never disclose or report.
It is important to note that Police can investigate a sexual crime weeks, months and years after the crime has occurred.
If you or someone you know is affected by child sexual abuse including historical child sexual abuse, please report to police in your relevant state or territory.
If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to call Bravehearts Information and Support Line on 1800 272 831 between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (AEST). If you require assistance outside of these hours, please call 1800 RESPECT.
