Volunteers can support Bravehearts in many different roles. In each case below, if you have been accepted as a Bravehearts volunteer we will contact you with details of any up incoming events, including dates, times, locations, and any prerequisites. If you are available and interested in becoming a Bravehearts volunteer, please fill in our application form and we will respond to you.
Bravehearts attends and coordinates many events across the country. These may include family fun days, BBQ’s, balls, fundraising or sporting events. We require the assistance of volunteers to help us during these events.
Volunteering at events is a fun way to engage with your local community and to meet new, like-minded people, and to assist Bravehearts in involving the community and raising much-needed funds for Aussie kids.
Positions may include assistance with marketing activities, filing, data entry or assisting with organising events. Most of these positions, when available, are required over a period of time – normally a 3 month period as a minimum.
Admin positions may be available in any of our locations.
Please note, whilst we will endeavor to respond to all applications in a timely manner, we can at times become overwhelmed with responses, so we ask you to please be patient.
Corporate volunteering offers many benefits for your company and employees. Importantly, it gives you and your employees a sense of contribution, whilst performing the usual work-related roles.
The most effective way that you can support us is through donating your skills. Your employees have a wealth of knowledge, specialist skills and experience, which can help us improve our business.
As with any business, Bravehearts needs marketers, fundraisers, accounting and administration staff. By donating your skills in these areas, you are providing us with valuable resources that can only enhance our team.
It also provides your employees with an opportunity to learn new skills, within the restrictions and challenges of a not-for-profit organisation.
This type of volunteering would be scheduled to fit in with your work employees’ availability to ensure there’s as little disruption as possible to their normal work schedules.
We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about participation in corporate volunteering. If you’d like to know more then please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Jess Ward on 07 5552 3000.

Yes. All volunteers with Bravehearts are required to hold a current relevant National Police Check. This means that if you are helping at events, or in an office where we provide counselling, you must hold a clearance before you undergo any volunteering. We also require all of our volunteers to hold a current Working With Children Check relevant to your state requirements. Neither of these checks will be at any cost to the volunteer.
